ETI / Starwin, a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer based in Dayton, Ohio, has been awarded three new contracts from Warner Robins Air Force Base to support the long-term sustainment and modernization of the U.S. Air Force's C-5 Galaxy aircraft.
These awards mark a continued vote of confidence in ETI’s role as a strategic manufacturing partner for the Department of Defense. As the intellectual property (IP) holder for select C-5 components, ETI is uniquely positioned as the front-runner to deliver mission-critical parts and assemblies required under the Air Force’s ongoing C-5 modernization roadmap.
The C-5 Galaxy, one of the largest military transport aircraft in the world, remains essential to U.S. global mobility and heavy airlift missions. There are currently 52 aircraft in the active fleet, maintained across three primary sustainment bases: Dover AFB (DE), Travis AFB (CA), and Westover ARB (MA), with depot-level maintenance centralized at Warner Robins AFB (GA).
The current modernization effort—known as the Reliability Enhancement and Re-engining Program (RERP)—focuses on avionics upgrades, structural reinforcement, and propulsion enhancements designed to extend the aircraft’s service life through 2040 and beyond. ETI’s awarded scope supports these objectives through the delivery of complex, precision-machined armrest assemblies, structural pins, and shrouds under long-lead and quick-turn schedules.
“We are proud to support Warner Robins and the entire C-5 sustainment community.
Our integrated capabilities in 5-axis CNC machining, aerospace welding, composite fabrication, kitting, and full-spectrum program management allow us to solve the most complex challenges in military aircraft modernization.” - Andrew Chavez

In addition to its legacy support for the C-5 Galaxy, ETI is the go-to site for integrated manufacturing solutions across fighter jets and rotorcraft platforms, as detailed on our Capabilities Page.
These latest awards underscore ETI’s position as a key player in American aerospace readiness—delivering reliability, innovation, and execution that meet the mission, every time.
